11 months

Eeks. Even that title is hard to write. 11 MONTHS OLD. I can't tell people you'll be "one" soon without placing my hand over my heart feigning chest pains. Am I allowed to say "I just had a baby?" Does that still apply?  In my mind it still applies, so I still say it. When does it stop applying?

You. Are. Into. E V E R Y T H I N G. And "everything" doesn't quite cover it. We call you a wrecking machine, a disaster creator, a maniac, a crazy lady. You find anything to play with anywhere, anytime. You could be so tired, but you push through it to just keep on playing. It could be past your bedtime, but you don't let on. Sometimes you even have us fooled.

You learned how to giggle. It's so adorable. You giggle when you see us. When it's time to eat, you giggle. When you get to go outside and play, you giggle. You giggle. We giggle.

The pointer finger has emerged. You point at everything, sometimes its a something in particular, sometimes its not. You love to point at ceiling fans. You especially love to point at anything that Daddy is doing. You love your Daddy.

You have four teeth! But I don't think they are the "normal" four teeth babies get. They are your two bottom teeth and your two outside teeth NEXT TO your two middle teeth. Seems odd, but you seem to do your own thing on your own timing, so this is right on par. I just have these visions that maybe your body will never develop your top two middle teeth. How wierd would that be?! But those two top middle teeth are SO close to coming through; they are right on the edge of popping through. Maybe you'll be flashing those two new pearly whites while eating your birthday cake.

Since we call you Young Khoeward Anthony (YKA for short. It's a name your Dad came up with), Aunt Kristi thought a name like that deserved it's own Tale, accompanied by guitar and sang with a "twang". Here is the chorus to The Tale of Young Kloeward Anthony. There is more to come, so she promises!

This is the tale of young Khloeward Anthony
She has beautiful, glowing brown eyes!
This is the tale of young Khloard Anthony
Where she's been is never a surprise!

We call you our Sweetie! You are such a little sweetie! Keep giving us all those wonderful hugs! Happy 11 month old birthday today!

Not looking back now

We've got our hearts and minds wrapped around spring, and we're not looking back. The 10-day weather forecast is 50's and 60's. Unbelievable for winter! I mean, it is still March, still very much winter. My tulips and iris's are up! I put away our boots and hats today (I will be very upset if I have to get those back out). Today it got up to 65, no coats for us, flip flops instead!

I think today was the best day of Khloe's life - she got to go on her playset  for the first time and go in her new swing. She could barely keep her mouth closed the whole time she loved it so much. She giggled the entire time. She's going to be our little outdoor girl! Since Kayla doesn't like flies, Khloe can chase away the flies for her big sister.

Khloe's first wagon ride, too!
The girls helped Daddy pick up sticks and take down the Christmas lights.

Thankfully we also survived daylight savings time with Khloe. Those time changes are brutal when you have a baby. Khloe sleeps so well from 6:30pm to 7:00 am that I didn't want to mess up her great schedule. But because Khloe rebelled against her afternoon nap the day of the time change, she fell to sleep right when she needed to and thankfully the next night was no different. Onward to spring we go!

Entertainment

This is how I entertain myself at my sister's hour gymnastic class each week! My mom can barely keep up sometimes! When I'm not walking the length of the rail with my mom chasing after me, I'm entertained by all the other little kids waiting for their siblings too.

I also find myself highly entertained by getting in cabinets that make the most mess. It's great.

Culprit

One day this past week we lost power for nine hours. The following day we discovered that none of our stereo components in the stereo cabinet worked, making the TV unusable. All of this power-outage drama happened to follow several previous days of Aaron rearranging and moving around new and old components in the stereo cabinet, so we weren't sure if there was no power to the system because of the power outage (causing the circuit to be tripped) or if something just didn't get plugged back in. Aaron suggested the cause may be that someone reached under the cabinet, unplugged something or turned a switch off. Who would reach under that little spot and turn off a switch? I said. No one's ever touched it before.

Until... I was looking through several days worth of photos on my camera when I came across this photo I had forgotten I had taken days earlier. We got a good laugh out of this one!

Khloe, you are so busted!
