What a miracle, Aaron and I got to hear the heartbeat today at my 10-week appointment! That is such an amazing miraculous moment. Not only is my body working to keep my heart beating every second of every day, but it's made a new heart and now keeps that one beating too. It's so surreal through the doppler to hear my heartbeat and then to hear a second heartbeat chime in too. I've got two hearts! My baby's heartrate is about twice the rate of mine, 168 beats per second to be exact. (Sarah has used this new information to predict that I'm having a girl). Its very reassuring to hear that little heart working to create the little person our child will be.
