Oh Khloe Jean. Thinking about you turning 7 months old was giving me a little anxiety! Where has the time gone and how did you get so big? You are big you know! Your Dad and I tell you that all the time. You are now closer to being a One Year Old instead of being a newborn. I still like to tell people that I have a newborn at home - in many ways it really feels like we're still in the newborn phase - but you're not a newborn anymore. You are a sitting, drooling, babbling, teething infant! And the time that has passed for you to get to this stage baffles me.
You have not shown any interest in learning to crawl yet, which to be honest, is completely fine with me. You are relatively still containable. You roll all over (mostly to get Tikky) and get stuck in the craziest places, but you don't end up too far from where we put you. But rolling is getting old to you and bores you quickly; you much rather spend your time just sitting on the floor playing. Kayla looks out for you and either uses her body as a shield to prevent you from hurting yourself when you topple over or helps cushion your fall by placing a blanket around you.
You are officially in the teething stage. I noticed that your lower gums were looking white and sure enough two teeth will be popping through soon. The reason we know that is because you're having classic symptoms with an upset tummy and diaper rash. Hopefully you breeze right through this. I CANNOT wait to see those two little teeth pop through!
I am so excited for the holidays to come this year and celebrate with you Little Girl! I put our Christmas decorations up at the beginning of November, we've been listening to Christmas music ever since and I'm sure your Dad and Kayla are tired of hearing me talk about putting up the Christmas tree. I'm excited for that too - just two more days! You won't notice a thing but to me it's huge to celebrate these holidays for the first time as a family of four. It took us a long time to get here and I'm just so excited we're all finally together.
You are just a happy, happy baby, so good natured and laid back about everything. We love to tickle you under your arms and make you laugh! Oh, and you do the CUTEST thing now! When you want to give us a big smile you scrunch up your face, close your eyes and smile - it makes us laugh every time! We are honored to get the scrunch-up-closed-eyes-smile! How can one little girl have so much personality and spunk already!? Bring on seven months!
